Official Rules for the SheaMoisture and TribeCalledCurl.com “Summer Sexy Hair Makeover & New York City Getaway Contest”.
Description of Contest: SheaMoisture and TribeCalledCurl.com present the “Summer Sexy Hair Makeover & New York City Getaway Contest” and will award a Grand Prize to one randomly picked valid entrant with the most compelling reason for wanting a makeover. The contest will begin at 12:01am May 27, 2013 EST, and ends June 30, 2013, at midnight EST. The drawing will be conducted on July 1, 2013.
1. Eligibility. This contest is open to legal residents of the 48 contiguous United States (excluding Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico) that are at least 18 years of age (limited to one entry per individual). To be eligible, contestants must “like” both SheaMoisture and TribeCalledCurl.com on Facebook. One (1) Grand Prize winner will be randomly selected. Two (2) Runners Up will be selected in the same manner. Valid entry submission allows consent to post contest winner’s name. SheaMoisture and TribeCalledCurl.com reserve the right to verify eligibility qualifications of all winners.
2. Grand Prize (1): A) Two (2) (winner and friend) Round-trip coach airfare to NYC from the closest major airport to winner’s residence. B) One (1) Double Room Hotel accommodations in NYC. C) Two (2) professional SheaMoisture hair color, cut and styling makeovers from celebrity stylist Diane Bailey. D) $100 in SheaMoisture Hair Care and Ammonia-Free Hair Color System “Art of Color” products. E) Dinner with Imani Dawson of TribeCalledCurl.com, Diane Bailey and a SheaMoisture representative. F) $500 cash prize to be used for a night on the town (a list of suggested venues will be included).
Estimated retail value of Grand Prize is ($3,000.00 US).
Runner Up Prize (2): $100 in SheaMoisture Hair Care and Ammonia-Free Hair Color System “Art of Color” products.
Odds of winning depends upon the number of valid entries received. The winner will be notified by email and will be required to claim his or her prize within three (3) days of notification by replying to Winner’s Announcement Email. If a reply isn’t received within three (3) days of notification, the winner will have waived any claim to the prize and an alternative winner may be selected. No substitution of prizes or cash will be accommodated or permitted. Prize will be delivered no later than August 8, 2013 (first day of summer). SheaMoisture and TribeCalledCurl.com will not be responsible if weather conditions, act of God or other circumstances beyond their reasonable control prevents a scheduled event from taking place.
3. Release. By entering the contest, you release and hold both Sundial Brands LLC (manufacturer of SheaMoisture products) and TribeCalledCurl.com, their employees, officers, directors, members and marketing agents harmless from and against any and all losses, damages, claims, and actions of any kind arising in connection with the contest or resulting from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of, or defects in, a prize, or participation in the contest, including without limitation claims based on personal injury, death, property loss or damage, publicity or privacy rights, and/or defamation.
Entrants further grant Sundial Brands LLC and TribeCalledCurl.com the right to use and publish their proper names and state online and in print or any other media, as well as permission to create and publish photos and videos in connection with the contest.
Sundial Brands LLC and TribeCalledCurl.com reserve the right to use any and all information related to the contest, including information on contestants obtained through the contest, for marketing purposes or any other purposes, unless prohibited by law.
4. General. Participants and winners agree as a condition of participating that the laws of the State of New York shall govern this contest.
No purchase necessary. One valid entry per contestant.
Winners will be notified by email. If a winner is unreachable after seven (7) days, or if that winner is unavailable for prize fulfillment, an alternate winner will be selected. If Sundial Brands cannot find an eligible winner for the prize, that prize will not be awarded.
Sundial Brands reserves the right to substitute any prize with another prize of equal or greater value.
Employees of Sundial Brands & TribeCallCurl.com, its respective parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising sponsors and promotional agencies, and the immediate family members of each are not eligible.
Contest entrants agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of the contest commissioners, which are final on all matters pertaining to the contest.
The Contest and all of the related pages, contents and code are copyright, UPICKEM, and/or Sundial Brands. Copying or unauthorized use of any copyrighted materials, trademarks or any other intellectual property without the express written consent of its owner is strictly prohibited.
UPICKEM and Sundial Brands are not responsible for Internet crashes or slowdowns caused by network congestion, viruses, sabotage, satellite failures, phone line failures, electrical outages, natural disasters or acts of man or God.
All results posted are unofficial until winners respond to e-mail notification.
Each winner is responsible for all federal, state and local taxes and will be required to complete an IRS form W-9. Sponsor reserves the right to withhold prizes until completed form W-9 is received.
This contest is not intended for gambling. If it is determined that a contestant is using the contest for gambling purposes they will be disqualified and reported to authorities.
Sundial Brands reserves the right to change the rules at any time.
